Excercise: The Science of Deduction

Sherlock Holmes was first introduced to the public in 1887 in the novella Study in Scarlet. In the chapter "The Science of Deduction", different methods of solving riddles are described. In this interview from 1929, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle describes his idea of the Science of Deduction as the crucial inspiration for his most famous character. The chapter is suitable for developing an
understanding of the difference between deduction and induction.
